Simple, delicious and very versatile. Need I say more :)?
- 2 cups frozen (or fresh) strawberries
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- In a small saucepan, heat all ingredients to a boil, then reduce to simmer for about 15 minutes (make sure to stir frequently to prevent strawberries from sticking to the bottom of the pot).
- Mash strawberries with a fork or masher to break up.
- Remove strawberries from heat and let cool. Once cooled, place in a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to two weeks.
