309 Dhaba Restaurant

I think Daniel and I have just found a new restaurant that we plan to frequent on a regular basis.  This evening, we went to a delicious Indian restaurant in the King West area called 309 Dhaba.  Not only were all of the dishes delicious, but 95% of the menu items were gluten free.  In addition, the staff was very knowledgeable about gluten, they were extremely friendly and they provided amazing service.

Together, with another couple, we shared a delicious appetizer called ‘Dhaba’s Platter’ – an assortment of tandoori chicken, seekh kebab, chicken tikha, tandoori veggies, basil almond kebab and soy paneer.  For dinner, we shared four dishes – butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, seafood platter and chicken korma along with a delicious saffron rice and some naan bread (which was not gluten free).  Most of the dishes at 309 Dhaba restaurant are made with chickpea flour, if they do contain any flour, making this restaurant a safe haven for those with celiac disease.  I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

My Rating:

  • Taste: 5/5
  • Gluten Free Options: 5/5
  • Price: $9.95 – $29.95 per dish
  • Server Knowledge: 5/5
  • Other: delivery (for certain areas of the city – click here for more information) and take out available
